Since the Trujillo Christian School in Trujillo, Honduras held its first class in February 1992 with 40 children, the school has grown steadily encompassing a pre-kindergarten, through sixth grade and currently enrolls over 200 students. The school has an administrator, principal, and teachers for all grades. Bible classes are taught daily by dedicated Bible teachers.
Each child is supported by individual contributions. The current cost to provide education is $50 per month per child for 12 months. This amount provides a complete uniform with shoes for the school year, salaries for teachers, a facility, and necessary school supplies. The school and its curriculum are certified by the Honduran Ministry for Education.
Our Elders visit the school at least 3 times a year for oversight, work coordination, and annual graduation exercises A 10 day summer mission trip is planned annually that incorporates multiple congregations to work in the school and support community outreach.
